Our Story
Alas Madrid Colombia was born from a dream: to let anyone experience the absolute freedom of flight. Founded by Juan Esteban Gaviria, our company has become a benchmark for VIP tandem paragliding in Medellín, operating from the iconic San Félix viewpoint in Bello, Antioquia.
Juan Esteban discovered his passion for free flight more than a decade ago. After years of rigorous training, international certifications and thousands of accumulated flight hours, he decided to create an experience that combined professional safety with the VIP service that visitors to Medellín deserve. That's how Alas Madrid Colombia was born.
Our name pays tribute to the town of Madrid, Cundinamarca, where it all began. Today we fly from San Félix, one of the most privileged takeoff points in all of Colombia, with 360-degree views over the Aburrá Valley, the city of Medellín and the surrounding Antioquia mountains.

Training & Certification
Juan Esteban completes his advanced tandem flight training and obtains the certifications needed to operate commercial paragliding flights. He begins designing the VIP service concept that would set Alas Madrid Colombia apart in the market.
Official Launch
